If the national group supported a boycott of Hispanic businesses until they suport LEGAL immigration I would join.

It really doesn’t matter. In one place you will find folks who say that they believe in free speech & the Constitution, and in another place you will find people talking about “trolls”. Sarah can see Russia from her front porch and yet there are those who can’t find the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights (unless, of course, Glenn Beck is there to sho them his version). Please, please, please explain to me why there are folks in this country who are so afraid of diverse opinions??? They’ll desicrate anything but that Old Flag, they’ll hold it high in their hands. But I’ll tell you my worry is not for Old Glory, but the nation for which it stands.

Ed Thigpen: Nice rant! thousands of sincere people just like you have stepped forward and protested all the things that the US government – congress, senate, various bureaucracies – are doing wrong. Yea team!
so far this has accomplished nothing and will continue to do nothing except strengthen the Oligarchy as you are playing right into their hand. Until the basic system of the Federal Income Tax is eliminated NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE!!!! So, your efforts should be concentrated on the core disease, all the rest are symptoms, in order to get the scenario whereby we can get a true free enterprise system re-established and release the stranglehold that the tax lobbyists have on our congress. To punch threw the armor you must have a very focus point of attack — an armor piercing bullet (HR25 ‘The Fair Tax Bill’) — all your snowballs are just bouncing off and are laughable! Protesting is going to accomplish squat. Focus all efforts on the Fair Tax Bill which is only thing that will get the ball rolling — YES!, THE ONLY THING!!! THE REST WILL COME TO PASS WHEN THE PROPER STAGE IS SET.

The democrats have cheated and swindled ever since they have been in power. Giving social security benefits to people who have never paid into social security. Also giving WIC vouchers for mothers to buy food & formula for babies. If the baby is born in America is automatically citizen. And mother becomes a citizen because of the baby. Go to a grocery store and watch while they use prepaid cards (same as old food stamps) and buy food that we Seniors can’t afford on our Social Security checks. And now “they” want to make cuts to Social Security and Medicare. I say cut illegals who use the system and are getting what all of us who worked for years paid into and now are in danger of losing.

I am an artist here in central Florida. I have been out of work for over two years. God blessed me with a great ability and I can’t find a job or freelance to save my life. There is a reason for everything. The reason for this happening to me is perhaps to help, thru my abilities as artist, to wake people up to what is happening to this country. We are under attack. WE have to fight back. I want to know if there is a need for my abilities to produce art work for the movement to show our feelings,as American people to these so-called leaders of this country? A third party is the only way to go because the republican party has lost the trust of the american people, we voted for smaller gov. how many times? we voted for bush twice even though we new he was a moderate and look at how ficaly responsable that worked out. here in mass we voted a republican gov into office only to get mandated health care. why should the tea party want to be part of that?
who is going to trust them again?

I feel like we’re in quite a spiral now.

To me, the movement is less about party affiliation, and more about:
* standing up for solid conservative values
* holding elected officials accountable to the Constitution (which would take care of many of the other points of what this movement means to me)
* reduction (not freezing) of government spending
* elimination of a multitude of special interest projects
* expansion of US natural resources research/utilization
* audit of the Federal Reserve
* and so on…

If that fits more naturally with the Republican party, then so be it? If the blue dog Dems were to reinvent themselves to support this Patriotic movement, I would certainly vote for them over a “Progressive” Republican doing the same ol song and dance.

My concern is that Sarah Palin, a neoconservative is attempting to highjack the national tea party by getting airtime from Fox news and CNN. The media is givimg the American public the impression she is now the face of the tea party. We need to get rid of the traders in our ranks. There are more highly qualified individuals that can lead a 3rd party ( how about Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, or even Newt Gingrich for starters) and force moderate Republicans and Reagan Democrats to break ranks from their party to get leverage. The 2 parties must be shaken at the grass roots. In Texas, we need to make sure Medina gets elected governor!
